We are a smaller program by design — a residential addiction treatment home in Palos Verdes, built around real one-on-one care rather than volume.
Sakina House is a private residential addiction treatment home on the Palos Verdes coast, overlooking the Pacific. The same clinical depth as the big programs — none of the institutional feel.
We provide a full continuum of care under one roof: medically supervised detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and dual diagnosis care for co-occurring mental health conditions. You don't transfer between facilities. You don't start over with new clinicians. One team, one home, the whole way through.
Treatment is grounded in proven methods — CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, EMDR for trauma processing, and 12-step facilitation. But what actually moves the needle is what happens between the modalities: the home-cooked meals, the morning walks, the therapist who learns your kids' names, the clinician who reviews your medications instead of just refilling them.
Most people living with addiction also live with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. Treating only one side leaves the other to drive relapse. We treat the substance use and the underlying conditions together.
